Quiet Table Guide: June 8-15

Scripture for the week: Proverbs 27:6

Wounds from a friend can be trusted, but an enemy multiplies kisses.

1. Ready Your Heart

Begin with a moment of silence or a short prayer:

Holy Spirit, guide me into truth and shape me through this time with you.

2. Read

Read Proverbs 27:6, slowly and attentively.

You might try reading it aloud or in a few different translations throughout the week. Let the Spirit draw your attention to what you need to hear today.

3. Reflect

What word, phrase, or image stands out to you?

Who has loved you enough to tell you a hard truth?

Where might God be using someone—or preparing to use someone—to show you a blind spot?

4. Respond

Are you tempted to defend, deflect, detach, or dismiss when someone offers correction?

What might it look like to get curious instead of reactive?

Ask: What could God be trying to show me through this?

5. Receive

Be still.

Let go of the need to be right, strong, or in control.

Rest in Jesus’ love for you—the kind that tells the truth and brings healing.

Let him form you into someone who listens, grows, and loves deeply.

SPIRITUAL PRACTICE FOR THE WEEK: Table Groups

This week’s practice invites you to step into spiritual friendship—relationships that make space for honesty and transformation.

A Table Group is a group of 3 people who:

Read Scripture daily

Meet weekly

Ask honest questions

Listen for God’s voice in each other’s lives

Start this week by gathering with two others and each answering:

1. What’s one area where God is inviting growth or trust right now?

2. Are there any patterns in your reactions or relationships that God may want to speak into?

3. Is there anything God has said recently that’s been hard to receive?

Then:

Read a chapter a day from Proverbs or the Gospel of John

Jot down what you’re sensing from God

When you meet, share two things:

What is God saying to you?

What are you doing about it?
